Isabel Prieto x Villa Las Perelli

"Isabel Prieto Handknit was created 15 years ago with the idea of sharing the ability to "create" from a thread and 2 needles.

A technique as simple and ancient as 2-needled knitting allowed me over the years to knit countless garments, to meet and collaborate with great professionals and to bring together many people through knitting, sometimes for a creative purpose, other times for social and therapeutic purposes.

The collaboration with Villa las Perelli stems from the deep admiration I feel for their projects, the delicacy, dedication and elegance that each one of them transmits. Behind all this there is a great team led by Elena and Beatriz who have been my source of inspiration when planning this collaboration. I have tried to maintain their maxim of combining tradition and modernity, using 100% natural and sustainable fibre materials, a classic technique and an up-to-date design. The end result are these pieces handmade in Spain by artisans that blend seamlessly into Villa las Perelli's tables and projects".

In the past, knowing how to knit was considered another necessary basic skill. For this reason, it was taught at home and in schools to both boys and girls.
