- "F.BS LTD" : Corresponds to the goldsmith, in this case the firm "Fenton Brothers Ltd" of Sheffield.
- Crown: indicates the English office that has made the verification (London, Birmingham, Edinburgh or Sheffield), in this case the crown corresponds to Sheffield.
- Walking Lion: official contrast used to identify silver in England.
- Letter 'r': indicates the year; the lower case 'r' stands for the year 1909
