Stainless steel cutlery with stonewashed finish available in different colours
Biarritz cutlery, designed and manufactured in Italy, is inspired by antique cutlery; both its design and the variety that makes it up. All its pieces are made of stainless steel with a stone wash treatment that has given it an irregular matte finish in different colors.
The PVD technology used to achieve the worn finish of the cutlery is done through washing with porcelain stones with which it acquires this very special texture.
Until the beginning of the 20th century, all metal cutlery rusted. It was a very heavy task for the people who were in charge of keeping them clean and shiny, to the point of noticing it at the time of hiring; going so far as to indicate in your cover letter; "doing no the cutley."
Stainless steel is a material that is just over a hundred years old. It was in 1913 when the British metallurgist Harry Brearley achieved a chromium alloy with carbon steel that did not lose its shine and did not rust, remaining the same.
